4th-May-2010 12:48 pm - Moody Mondays no more!
Starting work on a Tuesday feels TERRIFIC!!!!

I think the Monday Blues syndrom makes people inefficient, so it would be better if its declared as an extended weekend on mondays. People will learn to appreciate working more efficiently for that 4 working days, and really need be, they will work OT on Sat and yet not feel burnout at the end of the week. Sounds shiok? Dream on... :S

8th-Apr-2010 02:56 pm - Surprise!!!

When you are deeply in love, you celebrate almost anything and everything.... Cos every celebration is an important date, like a brick setting the foundation for the relationship. Haha!!! It's not time for our anniversary yet, but I baked muffins just to mark our 100 days of being together!!!! :p

love.love.love.love.love.

Okay lar, i cheated. Initially I wanted to make chocolate muffins coated with white icing decorations of pink hearts... Then I realised for this project I would need to buy:

Self raising flour - $3
Cocoa Powder - $7
vanilla essence - $2
baking powder - $4
eggs - $2
semisweet chocolate chips - $10
crisco - $7
icing sugar - $3
coloured powder - $3

All this amounts to close to $40 for maybe 12 muffins, and the ingredients would probably be left on the shelf until they expire or till my next bake. So I took the pretty box of blueberry muffin mixture for $5 instead and bought eggs for $2. And voila, I have my muffins baked in an hour and they look pretty and taste good too!!! (:

The blueberry muffin mix

The end product - A spongy springy blueberry muffin ready to feed my love!!!

HAPPY 100 DAYS TO US BB!!!!

31st-Mar-2010 06:24 pm - Happy anniversary

Dinner was spent at a quiet bistro near my office called Smoochies. It was really a hidden treasure I found by chance while goggling in the internet. The indoors was empty except for us, which gave us alot of privacy, and the waitresses were extremely nice and friendly. For appetizers we tried their beef carpaccio. I am not really a meat lover but this is soooooooooooo good!!! The shaved beef tenderloin is so tender it almost melts in your mouth, and the soy-foie gras truffle dressing is a perfect match with the meat and veg!!! We practically had to snatch for the last slice.... Mmmmm.... Got me more excited for the main course!

Their highly recommended speciality was baked pork ribs and we were lucky that it was available! Usually its all snatched up. And its no wonder cos it's really tasty. BB eyes lit up when the meat was removed from the bones effortlessly. Both of us felt like meeting the chef after the dinner cos every dish is like a piece of art; at a cheaper price. Woots!!!

Finally for desserts we had their recommended Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Not the best I tried, still prefer the one BB brought me to on our first date. But it was still good enough for us to have more servings...

We wanted to try their tapas but our stomach has no room for more. So we relax in their comfy armchairs (that almost made us wanted to sleep in them) and drank our lychee martini and white wine. The waitress was so sweet to give me an extra lychee (See, this is called Service!!!) cos she guessed it was a special day for us. Her recommendation of white wine was also good, she really knows her stuffs very well!

Before we left, the waitress asked if we would come again, and I gave her a definite YES!!! I'm definitely coming back for more and next time, I'm going to try more items from their menu!

23rd-Mar-2010 05:46 pm - Away from home
Working this week in the office has not been easy, especially when I'm still immersed in the beauty of krabi.

Wow.

Once you step into Railei Beach, it's like a different paradise from home. Beautiful sandy beach. Green seawater. Clear blue sky. Amazing corals and limestone views.

I'm so glad that BB agreed with my choice of accomodation although we were warned there was not going to be TV, telephone and air-con. Railei Beach is like a hidden treasure away from the busy Krabi town and the popular Ao Nang Beach. It's a 30min drive from Krabi airport to Ao Nang + 15min boat ride. There were no docks so to get to our long tail boat we had to pull our shorts knee high (in my case - my dress to bare modesty), holding on to our slippers in our hands as we waddled our way through the beach.  It was quite an amusing sight seeing all the other tourists carrying their luggages above their head as they make their way to and fro.  :p  But all the effort was all worth it as a secluded, quiet and private beach welcomed our arrival.

Mornings were spent relaxing and people watching at the beach cafes while we enjoy our breakfast and iced teh tarik, thai style. Then we would explore the beach, hotels and spas around. We joined an island tour to Phi Phi on the 2nd day and that included buffet lunch, speedboat and lots of snorkelling which BB enjoyed much. I also had one of the best Mango sticky rice at the beach cafe here. Yum!!!

On the last night at Railei, there was a corporate function just right beside the alfresco restuarant we had dinner. At the spur of the moment BB and I got up from our seats and started dancing to the songs they played. I think our dancing sucked, but at that moment everything felt magically romantic to me.... We enjoyed ourselves so much we were laughing to our waist and nobody there cared a hoot to what we were doing. That's how I liked it.
Like a mini honeymoon. :)

 Love from BB & Baby
9th-Mar-2010 05:40 pm - Yak Yak!!!
I conclude my colleagues are all very kaypo people... They are always teasing me in office about my new relationship status, not letting me off even during lunch. But secretly I enjoy the teasing, and am very willing to share the sweet things we do. Haha!!! :D

For instance, BB and I make an effort to talk communicate everyday. We can chat on the phone for hours if we are not out on a date. The calls can last till 1+am and we would still want to continue talking, if not for work the next day. I think it has became a habit (habits can be developed in 21 continuous days) for us, and personally I feel it's good we share about what is happening daily in our life. So even at times when I want to bottle up my feelings, I couldn't once I'm on the phone with BB. I'll just end up telling him anything and everything. :)

Back at home even with the TV on, we would rather snuggle close to each other and spend our time talking (and listening) to each other. This habit has definitely brought us closer...

Oh yar, and my colleagues think we're still living in the secondary school days.... LOL.
5th-Mar-2010 01:31 pm - Cute randomness
* kisses my man

BB: Baby why are you not called Mei Zhen?

Baby: Why would you want my name to be Mei Zhen?

BB: Then I can call you 美真香!

awwwwwwwww.............
4th-Mar-2010 01:31 pm - Simple things means more...
Waking up to the stir of your partner

You rub your eyes and he gently plants a kiss and says "Good morning sweetheart"

You know its morning but it's still visibly dark, wished you could sleep more but didn't want to miss the important routine of brushing your teeth with him (and seeing him shave is so damn sexy!)

While you bathed he prepared breakfast and then stole more kisses in between munching cereals with milk

Before he leaves for work gives you a hug so tight you feel loved and energised

Made his day by chirping: "have a great day @ work, I love you!"

And when the door closes you can still feel the tenderness enough to last you for the day

Awwwwww.... Aint honeymoon sweet? :)
2nd-Mar-2010 02:45 pm - A fresh start
